Hi, I’m Joni Kukkohovi, a Helsinki-based creative who loves finding fresh ways to solve problems and tell stories. Through my studio, Supersuper, I help brands create work that feels meaningful—whether that’s a bold campaign, a thoughtful rebrand, or something entirely new.

Creativity, for me, has always been about more than aesthetics—it’s a way to tell stories and solve real problems. That mindset has shaped every project I’ve taken on, helping me craft meaningful connections between ideas and people.

My path into the creative world started early, in Finland’s street art scene. By 15, I was designing murals for ads, building set designs for broadcasters, and crafting visuals for retail spaces. These experiences taught me how creativity could be used not only to make something visually striking but to communicate ideas that truly connect. This curiosity and passion for meaningful design eventually led me to the world of advertising. I started as an assistant, learning the ropes and developing my skills, before working my way up to Art Director and eventually becoming an Executive Creative Director at some of Finland’s leading agencies. Along the way, I had the chance to collaborate with iconic brands like McDonald’s, Glacéau VitaminWater, Elisa, and Paulig. My work during these years was recognized with multiple national and international awards, celebrating both creative excellence and campaign effectiveness.

In 2014, I co-founded Supermood, a natural beauty brand where I oversaw its visual identity, business development, and international expansion. This chapter taught me how to combine creativity with practical business strategy, balancing the excitement of design with the logistics of scaling a brand across borders. It was a unique opportunity to see how design can shape not just a brand but also its impact on people.

Today, through Supersuper, I focus on creating work that feels personal, thoughtful, and impactful. Whether I’m working on a rebrand, developing a campaign, or solving a complex creative challenge, I approach each project with curiosity and collaboration. At the core of my work is the belief that great design communicates something real—it builds connections, inspires action, and leaves a lasting impression.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to take on new challenges that push creative boundaries. Whether it’s building a brand from scratch, rethinking a campaign, or crafting something entirely new, I believe the best work comes from embracing fresh perspectives and bold ideas.
