  • One of my favorite hikes in Sequoia. Starting from Lodgepole Campground, the trail is an 8 Km out and back trail with amazing views. Most of the trail is covered by the woods, so it’s not too hot during the summer months and since it’s following the creek running down from the waterfall, there’s great places to cool off along the trail. It takes roughly two hours to go up and one hour back down, but I like to take my time so for me it’s usually a good half a day trip. . . . #sequioanationalpark #sequoia #visitcalifornia #nationalparks #lodgepolecampground #hikingtrails #waterfalls #travelusa
  • Right across the street from LACMA and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, is the Petersen Automotive Museum. Really interesting exhibition of automotive history with varying exhibits in the first floor. This time around there was a wonderful showcase of Low Riders and the culture around it.
  • Went to LACMA today and this is “Metropolis II”, a kinetic sculpture by Chris Burden. It’s a mesmerizing to look at, so make sure to check the activation schedule so you can see the piece up and running.
  • Today I watched sea lions, pelicans, seals and otters while driving back down to L.A.
